About Snow Becomes Rain

Third Pentad, March 1 - 4

Buds on the trees are swelling, the sun stays out longer, and there’s a warmth in the breeze in this season - spring may be just beginning, or it may feel like winter isn’t quite ready to be finished. The season of “Snow Becomes Rain” was classically known for the arrival of the spring thaw. The snow may have begun to melt and we now see rain out of our windows instead of snow. These misty, early spring days may feel like a breath of fresh air - or, they may buffet us with wind and storms. This is a season of transitions. By the end of this season, we’ll see more and more reminders that spring, the promised spring, is about to bloom forth.
